Paws at You AI: frequently asked questions
Credits are spent when a video starts. We don't advertise a generation speed or a commercial license we can't prove; a video can take a couple of minutes.
Questions
What is a paws-at-you video?
A five-second vertical clip of your pet leaning toward the camera and gently patting the lens with one or both paws. The joke is the gesture, not a dance or a voiceover.
Which photo works best?
One pet, face clearly visible, natural light, no heavy filters. A portrait or square photo is fine — we crop it to 9:16 in the browser before anything is uploaded.
How much does a video cost?
25 credits for a five-second video, whichever credit pack you bought. Credits are spent only when a video job starts.
What happens if a generation fails?
The 25 credits go back to your balance automatically. You'll see the refund in My creations, and you can start a new attempt yourself. We never retry a paid generation on your behalf.
Is there a free option?
The still-meme editor is free and needs no account: pick a photo, add the paws-at-you caption, download a PNG. Video generation is the paid part, and there are no free video credits.
Can I download a GIF?
Not yet. GIF export needs a transcoding step we haven't shipped, so the interface doesn't offer it. Finished videos download as MP4.
Are the results labelled as AI?
Videos are AI-generated from your photo, and the result view says so. We avoid guarantees we can't prove — no promised generation speed, no promised commercial rights.
What photo isn't allowed?
People, children, explicit content and photos you don't own. The generator is built for one pet per photo, and the rights box is required before every paid generation.
Is this the official Paws at You?
No. We're an independent fan tool. We aren't affiliated with the photographer, the zoo, or the original creators of the meme, and we have no connection to any $PAWS token or crypto project.
