About Paws at You
This is an independent, fan-made tool for making a pet do the “paws at you” gesture. Here is who runs it, how the video is made, what it costs, and where the historical claims on this site come from.

Who runs this site
Paws at You is built and maintained by Hekmon, an independent developer. The public source of that identity is the GitHub profile at github.com/hekmon8; there is no company, agency or team behind the site to name.
It is a fan project about a meme, not an official product of the photographer, the zoo, the animals' keepers or the people who first paired the caption with the photo. It is also not connected to any $PAWS token or crypto project.
How a video is made
You upload one photo of your own pet. A hosted video model turns it into a five-second vertical clip of that animal reaching a paw toward the lens, keeping the face and markings as far as the model can. The output is AI-generated, and the interface labels it that way.
Generation is not deterministic: fur patterns, eyes and paw shape can drift between attempts. Treat the result as a playful clip of your pet, not as a record of what the animal did.
What is free and what costs money
The still-meme editor is free: you can put the caption on a photo and export the image. Video generation uses credits — 25 credits for one five-second video, sold in one-time packs starting at US$4.99 for 50 credits. There are no subscriptions and no signup credits.
If a paid job fails, the credits are refunded to your balance automatically and the ledger entry stays visible in My creations. Checkout, refunds and account terms are covered by the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy linked below. Terms of Service · Privacy Policy
Photos, rights and what we promise
Only upload photos you have the right to use — your own pet, or a photo you have permission to edit. Uploading someone else's animal or a copyrighted photograph is your responsibility, and generated output does not come with a promise of commercial licence. Attribution is not a licence either: crediting a photographer does not grant reuse rights.
AI transparency
We label generated clips as AI-generated in the interface, and we avoid claims we cannot support: no guaranteed generation speed, no invented usage numbers, no promised commercial rights. Failed jobs are refunded automatically.
Corrections
The origin page is a careful summary, not an archive. If you have an earlier documented pairing of the caption and the photo, or a correction to a date or handle, report it through the public GitHub profile above and we will correct the page rather than guess.
